Evans Welcomes Arrest in George Floyd’s Death, Calls for Trump to Apologize for Encouraging Violence
PHILADELPHIA (May 29, 2020) – Congressman Dwight Evans (PA-03) welcomed today’s arrest of the Minneapolis police officer who was seen on video kneeling on the neck of George Floyd, an African American man in custody who was pleading before he died that he couldn’t breathe.
On Friday, I voted for the Heroes Act, a sweeping Covid-19 relief bill. It passed the House of Representatives on a bipartisan vote.
