You're invited to my free annual Federal Services Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 23, outdoors at Deliverance Evangelistic Church, 2001 W. Lehigh Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19132. You can register now by clicking here. This is a "one-stop shop" opportunity for you to learn about resources from federal, state and local agencies including the Social Security Administration, IRS, U.S. Postal Service, Department of Veterans Affairs, Housing and Urban Development, and more! Ballot drop boxes now available for Nov. 2 election The ballot drop boxes that I believe were so helpful to voters during the pandemic last year are available again for the Nov. 2 election. You can find one near you by clicking here. Billy Penn has a map of the current drop box locations. Voters from any part of the city can return their own voted ballot. These drop boxes are accessible 24/7. You can request a mail ballot by Tuesday, Oct. 26 at www.vote.pa.gov or PhiladelphiaVotes.com. A voted ballot must be received by the elections office by 8 p.m. on Election Day (Nov. 2), which is why many people have chosen to use drop boxes in recent elections. The Pennsylvania Department of State has a useful graphic here on how to complete a mail ballot correctly, using both required envelopes, to prevent having a ballot invalidated as a "naked ballot." Evening & weekend phone hours: To serve you better, my Philadelphia office has expanded our telephone hours for constituents who have difficulty calling during normal work hours. If you need help with a federal issue, you can reach the office by phone (215-276-0340) on Wednesday evenings from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can also email the office by clicking here or fill out a federal privacy form for help with your case (if needed) by clicking here. Staying informed: To keep up with information and services between these updates, I invite you to follow me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – including updates on my Facebook and Instagram Stories.
