Internships
Thank you for your interest in interning with my office. We are now accepting applications for Fall 2025 (September -December) internships for our Philadelphia and Washington offices. The deadline to apply for a Fall internship is August 15, 2025. All Summer 2025 internship opportunities have been filled at this time.
This internship program is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students to gain valuable work experience and insight into how our government works. Please note that this is a paid position, and that each intern will receive a small monthly stipend.
Interns will work directly with the D.C. staff to focus on projects that support my policy initiatives, and with the district staff on projects that are geared towards delivering constituent services and resources to Pennsylvania’s Third Congressional district. In addition, interns may be assigned to assist staff members on specific projects or with specific issue areas.
Intern responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Conducting constituent services and casework intake
- Taking and recording constituent messages
- Drafting constituent correspondence
- Assisting with constituent outreach projects
- Supporting legislative research and data collection
- Assisting communications staff with press clips compilation
- Demonstrating excellent teamwork skills by completing a Policy-In-Action project and presentation with the intern cohort
- Attending committee hearings and legislative briefings
- Preparing memos and other legislative-related assignments
- Helping with miscellaneous administrative office tasks
Overall, the internship works to demonstrate aspects of both the D.C. and Philadelphia offices to give our cohort a fuller understanding of the responsibilities and duties of a congressional office.
