July 29, 2020
E-Newsletter

I invite you to RSVP now and join me on Facebook Live this Thursday, July 30 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for a town hall on housing rights and relief! This is an opportunity for Philadelphia renters and homeowners to learn more about your rights as well as programs that can help you avoid eviction or foreclosure.

I'll be joined by representatives from four agencies and organizations, who will be able to answer some of your questions:

  • Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency
  • Northwest Counseling Service
  • Community Legal Services
  • Fair Housing Rights Center

You can click this link to RSVP or watch live on Thursday starting at 5:30 p.m.

Aug. 4 town hall for small businesses

I'm also hosting a town hall for small businesses on Tuesday, Aug. 4 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. I'll be joined by representatives of the Women's Opportunities Resource Center and The Enterprise Center. They'll outline how small businesses can apply for financial relief through community development financial institutions (CDFIs) and how small businesses impacted by the pandemic can receive technical assistance with developing recovery plans. You can register for this town hall by clicking here.

Don't miss out! Easy sign-up to keep receiving updates

I hope you find these updates useful. As your representative in Congress, I like to make sure constituents are informed about district events, and national issues such as health care, gun legislation and the minimum wage, for example.

I wanted to let you know that House ethics rules prohibit me from sending unsolicited messages from my official email account during primary and general election campaigns. This summer and fall, the "blackout" period runs from Aug. 5 through Nov. 3. If you would like to stay in touch and receive updates during this period, just click here to sign up for my newsletter.

Sincerely,
