Service Academy Nominations are recommended to Congressman Evans by his Nominations Panel which includes active duty and retired military members, educators, and community leaders from across the Second Congressional District of Pennsylvania.

"It is a true honor and privilege to nominate young people in our neighborhoods to attend our Military Service Academies. When I was first sworn into office on November 14, 2016 one of the first things I had the opportunity to do was to nominate young people in our community as candidates to our Service Academies. This year we had a truly remarkable group of young students as nominees. A commitment to public service at a young age is something that cannot always be taught and nurtured; it is wonderful to see the spirit of service alive, well and present in the Second. Congrats again to this year's outstanding nominees," Congressman Evans said.

This year's nominations from the Second District include:

Mr. Stephen Flemming (William Penn Charter School) – U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy

Mr. Benjamin Fraizer III (St. Joseph's Preparatory School) – U.S. Military Academy
