Congressman Evans Small Business Tour in Narberth
Washington, D.C. -- Today, to celebrate and kick off National Small Business Week in Pennsylvania’s Second Congressional District, Congressman Dwight Evans (PA-02) and Pennsylvania State Representative Mary Jo Daley visited a variety of small businesses on Haverford Avenue in Narberth, PA.
Every President since 1963, has recognized National Small Business Week to highlight the countless contributions our small businesses have made on our economy. Communities across the nation will celebrate National Small Business Week from April 30 to May 6, 2017.
Earlier today, Congressman Evans visited the following small businesses on Haverford Ave in Narberth: Ricklin’s Hardware, Narberth Cheese Company, Narberth Bookshop, P. Spinelli and Sons, Inc., Sweet Mabel Folk Art & Fine Craft, Spot's The Place for Paws, The Greeks Next Door, and Character Development.

“Our small business owners are the true champions of our economy,” Congressman Evans said. “The impact and footprint our small businesses have in terms of investment and economic growth expands beyond their individual storefronts.”

Last week Congressman Evans joined with all of the members of the House Small Business Committee to introduce H. Res. 288, a bipartisan resolution to commemorate National Small Business Week and the critical role small business owners and entrepreneurs have on our economy.
“From our schools to our hospitals to our small businesses, Pennsylvania’s Second Congressional District has countless anchors that drive investment across the Commonwealth,” Evans said, “we are fortunate to have these economic engines right in our backyard.”
Congressman Evans is the Ranking Member on the House Small Business Committee, Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax and Capital Access and also serves on the House Small Business Committee, Subcommittee on Contracting and the Workforce.
