Congressman Evans Statement on Net Neutrality
I support a free and open internet for all Americans. I have been and will continue to be a strong supporter of Net Neutrality and the opportunities a fair and open internet affords to each and every American in our neighborhoods nationwide. I believe limiting internet access and giving priority to those who can afford to pay more will only hurt the open marketplace of our internet and turn it in to yet another platform for the rich to get ahead and potentially spur inequality.
I will continue to do all I can to oppose the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman’s unilateral attempt to roll back the carefully crafted rules put in place under the Obama Administration to ensure that all Pennsylvanians have an on-ramp to the information superhighway.
