Evans: With Pelosi Nomination for Speaker, Democratic House Can Move Forward to Deliver on Health Care, Jobs, Infrastructure, Schools

November 28, 2018

Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-2nd) said today's overwhelming vote to nominate Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House means House Democrats can move forward to deliver on key priorities in the new Congress that begins Jan. 3.

"My constituents in Philadelphia – and a majority of Americans – sent us here to do the people's business. They want action on things that matter to them like health care, jobs, infrastructure and schools. It's time to put intrigue and inside baseball aside and move on so we can deliver for the people."
