16 years of the Affordable Care Act
As one Philadelphian told my office: “If it weren’t for the Affordable Care Act, I wouldn’t have been able to get the diagnoses and care I need to live.”

While President Trump and congressional Republicans are trying to tear down this progress, I and my House Democratic colleagues are fighting back to ensure all Americans have access to quality, affordable health care.
If you are being impacted by the GOP’s disastrous health care policies — I want to hear from you! Click here to share your story with my office here.
End Airport Chaos & Pay TSA Workers NOW!
It’s day 41 of the GOP’s shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security.
While over the weekend, Senators had a deal to reopen the law-abiding DHS agencies, like TSA, and pay workers now — President Trump rejected it. Trump called on the Senate to focus instead on his voter suppression bill that would make it harder for millions of American citizens, including married women, service members, and voters of color, to reach the ballot box.
Right now, TSA officers are bracing for another missed paycheck and airport wait times are worsening, yet President Trump is sending ICE agents into airports across the country, including Philadelphia International Airport.
I believe we don’t need untrained ICE agents deployed to our airports — we need to pay our dedicated TSA agents NOW. That’s why, I signed House Democrats’ discharge petition to force a vote on funding the law-abiding DHS agencies, including TSA. I believe this is a common-sense, necessary step to take while critical negotiations on reforming ICE and CBP continue.
