● On Sunday, President-elect Donald Trump admitted his plan to put tariffs (taxes) on imported food, clothing and other products could make prices go up: “I can’t guarantee anything,” he said.

I’ll fight cuts to veterans’ disability benefits!
I know that veterans’ benefits are earned. So I want you to know that I am OPPOSED to growing calls for cutting veterans’ disability benefits. I understand and appreciate the sacrifices our veterans have made for our country, so I was disgusted by a recent report on the Task and Purpose website that Project 2025 authors, among others, have been calling for these types of cuts. A proposal from the Trump “DOGE” advisory panel would put $120 billion in veterans health care at risk.
Please know that I will fight these cuts if they are proposed in the new Congress. As I said shortly after the election, I believe much of the conservative agenda is unpopular and I plan to fight it in the new Congress.

“Thank you for the Medicare telephone town hall on 11/22/24! The event was extremely helpful and informative. Your reminder at the end of the town hall that you work for us was a welcome reminder in times like these.”
