My NEW State of the District report is out! I believe that Democrats in Congress and President Biden got a LOT of positive things done last year, and this new report shows you some of the impacts right here in Philadelphia, as well as national impacts. You can view the full report here. This report also serves as a useful guide to the types of investments that I am seeking to protect as debt-ceiling discussions continue in Washington.

Here are a few highlights from the report:

·         Last year alone, my office recovered $9,539,347 for constituents from the Internal Revenue Service, including stimulus payments. Click here if you need help from my office with an IRS concern or a concern involving another federal agency.

·         The Inflation Reduction Act is capping the cost of insulin at $35 per month for Medicare beneficiaries – a protection that both I and President Biden want to extend to ALL Americans!

·         That new law is also making the nation’s largest-ever investment in fighting climate change and promoting clean energy. It also makes changes to help Americans save on energy costs!

·         Philadelphians are benefiting from millions of dollars in federal investments in affordable housing that I voted for.

·         Last year, we passed the first major federal gun-safety law in almost 30 years – the report tells you what’s in the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act. It also outlines federal investments in public safety that I’ve voted for, and other initiatives I’ve been working on to fight gun violence. (pages 8-12 of the pdf)

·         The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act I voted for is investing in Philadelphia in so many ways, including multiple SEPTA projects. (pages 16-18 of the pdf)

·         I’ve been able to secure millions of dollars for Philadelphia through federal Community Project Funding – there’s probably a project near you that’s benefited! (pages 19-22 of the pdf)

There’s much more in the report – you can see it for yourself by clicking here.

During my first six years in Congress, my office has helped to return to or save more than $25 million for Philadelphians from federal agencies such as the IRS, Social Security Administration and Department of Veterans Affairs. We also help constituents with other federal concerns such as U.S. Postal Service issues and immigration or passport issues.

If you’re seeking help with a federal agency or a federal concern, you can contact my offices at 215-276-0340 (Northwest Philadelphia) or 215-254-3400 (Point Breeze) or fill out this form that legally authorizes us to look into your case. My staff has also resumed holding mobile office hours in several locations throughout the district.
