Trump Nominee Wants to END Social Security; This Tuesday & Wednesday, ‘Congress Comes to You’
President Trump has nominated someone for a key position who said just last year that he wants to “sunset” Social Security – that’s Washington-speak for ending this earned benefit that keeps many seniors out of poverty! If the Senate confirms E.J. Antoni, he’ll be in charge of calculating the yearly Social Security cost-of-living adjustment (COLA). Antoni even said, “you'll need a generation of people who pay Social Security taxes but never actually receive any of those benefits.”
I strongly oppose that!
Instead, I support legislation designed to keep Social Security strong for current and future generations in part by “scrapping the cap,” the limit that lets millionaires and billionaires stop paying into the program once their income has hit $176,100 for the year.
If you would like to let your two U.S. senators know your thoughts about the E.J. Antoni nomination, you can find their contact information by clicking here.
