Evans provides update

November 19, 2024

Congressman Dwight Evans today provided this update:

I appreciate the many calls and emails from Philadelphians who have wished me well as I continue to do recovery and rehabilitation following a minor stroke earlier this year. While I am eager to return to Washington as soon as possible, my medical team has advised me to continue with more rehab and recovery before resuming regular travel to and from Washington, beginning with swearing-in for the new Congress on Jan. 3. The goal is to make sure my leg and mobility are in improved condition to enable my return to full duty.

In the meantime, I am continuing to meet with constituents at my Northwest Philadelphia office, and I am staying updated and directing the actions of my staff. I want to emphasize that my staff has continued to keep the offices open and serving constituents.

Federal concerns and agencies that my offices can help with include passports, immigration, the Postal Service, IRS, Social Security and the Department of Veterans Affairs. You can contact my offices at 215-276-0340 (Northwest Philadelphia) or 215-254-3400 (Point Breeze) or fill out this form that legally authorizes us to look into your case."
