The program was created in 2016 and is set to expire next year – the reauthorization would extend it to 2030.
Dear Governor Wolf and Legislative Leaders:
We are writing to urge the Commonwealth to drive the bulk of its billions of remaining American Rescue Plan dollars out to struggling Pennsylvania families and small businesses as soon as possible. We voted for this federal funding because of the urgent needs stemming from the Covid-19 pandemic. We never intended these billions of federal pandemic relief dollars to be locked away in a state government vault. Pennsylvanians have already paid these federal taxes and they deserve to have them put to use quickly.
