PHILADELPHIA (Jan. 12, 2021) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) issued the following statement on the proposed merger of Jefferson Health and Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia and the region:

WASHINGTON (Jan. 3, 2021) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) is being sworn in today for a third full term in the U.S. House of Representatives serving the residents of Philadelphia's 3rd Congressional District.

The freshman class will be sworn in on January 3rd, 2021 when the First Session of the 117th United States Congress convenes.

WASHINGTON (Dec. 22, 2020) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) welcomed agreement on a new Covid relief package, something he has been advocating and voting for since May:

"While a new round of $600 direct payments, also known as ‘stimulus checks,' seems to me to be getting the most attention, that's only about 20 percent of the package. There's much more in this package to deliver help to people NOW.

The bill includes Evans' Homegrown Act, which would help small businesses and people of color share in the booming cannabis industry.
