Philadelphia, PA – Today, U.S. Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and John Fetterman (D-PA) and U.S. Representatives Dwight Evans (D-PA-3) and Brendan Boyle (D-PA-2), and Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle L. Parker secured $158,911,664 in federal funding to reconnect Philadelphia’s Chinatown neighborhood across the Vine Street Expressway (I-676), which split the historic neighborhood apart when it was constructed.

Summary of Community Project Funding for Fiscal Year 2024

WASHINGTON (March 8, 2024) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) announced he has secured more than $13.3 million in federal funding for 15 Philadelphia community projects. The funding is provided in an appropriations bill that has passed the House of Representatives and is expected to pass the Senate and be signed into law by President Biden.

WASHINGTON (Jan. 25, 2024) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) recently voted to advance a bipartisan deal that would partially restore the expanded Child Tax Credit that lifted millions of American children out of poverty. 

As a member of the influential House Ways and Means Committee, Evans voted to send the package to the full House of Representatives, where it could receive a vote as soon as next week.
