Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and John Fetterman (D-PA) and U.S. Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3) announced a total of $8,711,688 in federal funding from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) to increase traffic safety on Philadelphia and Southeastern Pennsylvania streets. The two awards will support projects to develop pedestrian safety plans, calm traffic in school crosswalks, create safety studies to reduce traffic injuries, and help underserved communities develop programs to make streets safer.

Parker announced a total of $8,984,800 in funding to bring electric vehicle (EV) chargers to underserved neighborhoods in Philadelphia and to the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). The funding is from the Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Grant Program, made possible by the infrastructure law.
WASHINGTON (July 25, 2024) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA) has introduced a bipartisan bill that would promote peer mentorship across the child-welfare system to help parents and caregivers of youth receiving services, foster parents and adoptive parents. The House Ways and Means Committee approved substantially similar legislation Wednesday.

Washington, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and John Fetterman (D-PA) and U.S. Representatives Dwight Evans (D-PA-3), Madeleine Dean (D-PA-4), and Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA-6) delivered $37,543,000 from the Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act to make Pennsylvania’s drinking water safer and cleaner. The funding from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will remove contaminants—like Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) from drinking water in Pennsylvania communities hit hard by these ‘forever chemicals.’

The Bells Mill Road and Valley Green Road Bridges over Wissahickon Creek are currently rated as being in poor condition by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).
PHILADELPHIA (April 3, 2024) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) is proud to announce that his office is now accepting submissions from high school artists in Pennsylvania’s 3rd Congressional District for the 2024 Congressional Art Competition. The deadline for students to submit their artwork is April 23, 2024.
