PHILADELPHIA (July 12, 2021) – Members of Congress from Philadelphia and Wilmington, Del.; jointly visited highway-divided neighborhoods in their respective cities today to highlight the $3 billion Reconnecting Communities bill recently passed by the House of Representatives that could help those neighborhoods.
WASHINGTON (July 1, 2021) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd), Pennsylvania's only African American member of Congress, issued the following statement today:
"The Supreme Court's decision to let states have wide rein to attack voting rights is garbage. It is clear to anyone who is paying attention that the court will keep on gutting the Voting Rights Act, and that its 2013 Shelby County decision was just the start. The court also sided today against public disclosure of big ‘dark money' that floods our politics – another disgrace.
WASHINGTON (June 10, 2021) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) announced that his requests for $19.6 million in federal funding for seven Philadelphia transportation projects have advanced to the full House of Representatives.
Evans' requests are included in a bill that the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee approved today.

PHILADELPHIA (March 31, 2021) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) on Tuesday announced his Housing Is Essential plan for more than $63 billion in new federal affordable housing funding. He was joined by western Pennsylvania Congressman Mike Doyle (D-PA-18th) and housing advocates from across the state who support the plan.
The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee will collect highway and transit Member Designated Projects (MDPs) as part of this year's reauthorization legislation. My office will accept requests through this form – our deadline is Wednesday, April 7.
