I know that investing in America’s infrastructure isn’t just about concrete and steel, it needs to include making our communities cleaner, greener, safer, and more accessible, all the while creating jobs and boosting local, state, and our national economy. That’s why I was proud to vote for Democrats’ Inflation Reduction Act and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act!
After President Biden signed these historic initiatives into law, I have been fighting to ensure our community receives its fair share of funds. And Philadelphia is already seeing the direct result of the Inflation Reduction Act and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, as billions are invested into our community. From creating safer streets around schools and updating our roadways to investing in SEPTA and Amtrak’s infrastructure and upgrading Philadelphia International Airport to replacing lead pipes and modernizing our water system, you just can’t ignore the results.
I have also secured additional investments for local projects in the Third District- including investments in pedestrian safety, community health improvement projects, and clean energy job training.
