The brave men and women who courageously served our armed forces have put their lives on the line to protect our fundamental freedoms, and for that, we owe them more gratitude than we can express. To our veterans and active military — we thank you today and always.
Just as no one is left behind on the battlefield, we must leave no veteran behind when they return home. As our veterans return home, we have an obligation to ensure that they have access to critical health care, education and financial resources. That’s why I’m proud to have voted for the historic PACT Act, the largest expansion of veterans’ health care and benefits in three decades. This law expanded access to care and benefits for veterans exposed to toxic substances during their service and their loved ones.
Representing the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center in Congress, I know we need to strengthen the VA - not cut services. In the face of continued attacks from the Trump Administration on this critical agency, I’m fighting to protect the earned benefits and services that veterans and their loved ones rely on.
