WASHINGTON (March 15, 2022) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) today said he opposes a closing of or cutbacks at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, as apparently proposed in a new plan from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

WASHINGTON (March 10, 2022) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA) and Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (D-IL) led a letter from 45 Congressional Black Caucus members seeking answers from the Census Bureau on the apparent undercount of African Americans in the 2020 census.
WASHINGTON (March 9, 2022) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) welcomed a bipartisan federal funding agreement that includes benefits for Philadelphia, and he's urging the Senate to pass it after expected House passage today.

WASHINGTON (March 8, 2022) – A bipartisan group of four members of Congress, led by Rep. Dwight Evans (D-PA), is introducing a bill that would continue the Delaware River Basin Restoration Program, which benefits four states – Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and New York.
The program was created in 2016 and is set to expire next year – the reauthorization would extend it to 2030.

Dear Governor Wolf and Legislative Leaders:
We are writing to urge the Commonwealth to drive the bulk of its billions of remaining American Rescue Plan dollars out to struggling Pennsylvania families and small businesses as soon as possible. We voted for this federal funding because of the urgent needs stemming from the Covid-19 pandemic. We never intended these billions of federal pandemic relief dollars to be locked away in a state government vault. Pennsylvanians have already paid these federal taxes and they deserve to have them put to use quickly.

PHILADELPHIA (Jan. 11, 2022) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) is seeking a medically retired veteran for a 2-year paid fellowship in his Philadelphia office.

PHILADELPHIA (Dec. 22, 2021) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) today joined with his Democratic colleagues in Pennsylvania's U.S. House delegation in calling on President Biden to extend the student loan payment moratorium, which was implemented due to the continued impact of the pandemic. Payments are currently set to resume on Feb.
