WASHINGTON (Jan. 9, 2020) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) today voted for legislation that would sharply limit President Trump's ability to use military force against Iran without first securing congressional approval.
Congressman Evans issued the following statement:
"President Trump's erratic approach to war and peace has not worked with North Korea, and the American people will not be well-served by cowboy behavior in the Middle East either. President Trump failed to consult with Congress.
"Diplomacy cannot be conducted by tweet, and war certainly cannot be conducted by tweet.
