PHILADELPHIA (March 31, 2021) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) on Tuesday announced his Housing Is Essential plan for more than $63 billion in new federal affordable housing funding. He was joined by western Pennsylvania Congressman Mike Doyle (D-PA-18th) and housing advocates from across the state who support the plan.

WASHINGTON (March 10, 2021) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) today voted for the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, helping to put the Covid relief and economic rescue bill over the top in the House and send it to President Biden's desk.
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) and U.S. Representative Dwight Evans (D-PA-03) are introducing the Resources for Victims of Gun Violence Act. This legislation would establish an interagency Advisory Council to gather and disseminate information about the resources, programs and benefits that can help victims of gun violence—including survivors and the families, classmates, coworkers and other associates of individuals affected by gun violence. More than 100 Americans die from gun violence each day and over 230 more are wounded.
WASHINGTON (Feb. 4, 2021) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) has been appointed to an added role in his second term on the influential House Ways and Means Committee. In addition to serving on the Ways and Means Subcommittees on Health and on Worker and Family Support, Evans will also now serve on the Subcommittee on Oversight.

WASHINGTON (Dec. 22, 2020) – Congressman Dwight Evans (D-PA-3rd) welcomed agreement on a new Covid relief package, something he has been advocating and voting for since May:
"While a new round of $600 direct payments, also known as ‘stimulus checks,' seems to me to be getting the most attention, that's only about 20 percent of the package. There's much more in this package to deliver help to people NOW.
